About Windermere

Our Story

The Stillwater Windermere Coalition was founded in 2019 from a desire to serve homeschooling families by providing Christ-centered learning in a supportive community. What began as a literature class taught by our director for her own children quickly grew as other families expressed interest in joining. Before long, parents were asking if additional classes could be offered, and God faithfully opened the door for the coalition to grow.

Today, the Stillwater Windermere Coalition offers a variety of college-preparatory core academic subjects and enriching electives, including junior high and high school literature, science, history, Biblical theology, Spanish, and more. While each course is unique, our approach is influenced by Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education, using rich, living books and meaningful discussions to cultivate wisdom, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. Our teachers are experienced in their fields and are committed to teaching with excellence while encouraging students to pursue truth, goodness, and beauty through their studies.

We understand that the high school years can be both exciting and challenging for homeschooling families. Many parents desire additional academic support without giving up the flexibility and involvement that make homeschooling so valuable. Our cooperative is designed to come alongside families by providing engaging, college-preparatory instruction, accountability, and encouragement while allowing parents to remain actively engaged in their students' education.

More than a place to take classes, the Stillwater Windermere Coalition is a community where families encourage one another, students build meaningful friendships, and learning takes place in an environment rooted in faith and fellowship. We are thankful for God's faithfulness in growing this ministry and look forward to continuing to equip and encourage homeschool families for years to come.

Our Students

Students Learn

Students are challenged through college-preparatory coursework taught by experienced teachers who are passionate about their subjects and committed to student success. Classes meet on Mondays, providing instruction, discussion, and guidance for the week ahead. Students then complete engaging assignments throughout the week that encourage independent learning, critical thinking, personal responsibility, and time-management skills—valuable tools for college, careers, and lifelong learning.

Students Connect

We believe education is most meaningful when students can connect what they are learning to God's truth. Through a biblical worldview, students are encouraged to make connections between Scripture and the subjects they study, recognizing God's hand in every area of life. Our co-op also provides opportunities to connect through friendships, learn alongside peers, and develop communication, collaboration, and leadership skills that will serve them well in the future.

Students Grow

Our desire is to see students grow not only academically, but spiritually and personally as well. We encourage students to deepen their understanding of God's Word and to view the world through a biblical lens. As they participate in classes, activities, and community life, students have opportunities to develop character, strengthen friendships, gain confidence, and mature into young adults who seek to honor Christ in all they do.
